a hole in the hall..

Good evening everybody...

This morning I went to the Hotel and with a big surprise I saw the biggest hole I have ever seen in my life inside in a building... look here:

This is the hall on the ground floor which serves 8 rooms from 101 to 108. The plumper decided to open this hole because it is necessary to change the central waste pipe of this floor just to be sure that the new bathrooms will work properly without any blocking problems. Anyway since the entire Hotel is demolished this looks like nothing... The rest of the progress is pretty good and from yesterday we have the house painters working as well. Take a look at the photos below:

At the moment he is working in the roof painting the doors of the rooms and at the first sight are looking good...

dear all...

some new photos from the final look of the bathrooms ready for tiles and the workers in action....  The tiles  will be in Santorini on Monday, so by the end of next week (I hope) I will be able to upload the final photos of the bathrooms... Next Thursday the interior designer from the store in Athens we will buy the new furniture for the lobby and the rooms called SET will be in Santorini for two days and Alina together with him will make a plan of the new style... As soon as they will decide I will post the details.

back from Athens

Hello all..

Yesterday evening we came back from Athens. We went with Alina to XENIA Exhibition and we have found lots of new things for the new decoration of Acqua Vatos. However the constructions continued and are in a good progress. The bathrooms on the first floor of the Hotel are completed and it is in the final stage ready for the new tiles. Now the workers are on the ground floor and will be finished by the end of this week. New photos will be posted soon... Have a nice Sunday and stay tuned...

Good morning to everybody... As promised I took some more photos from the common areas... the mess everywhere is unique but the progress is going well.. Today we received the sinks and the toilet seats and by the end of next week most of them will be mounted. Alina is working with the ideas for the new style of the Hotel. This week we will go to XENIA Exhibition in Athens in order to choose new linen and furniture for the rooms and the lounge area . Acqua Vatos will be the new concept of a Hotel in Kamari Village. Disaster "Part 1"

....here are the first photos of Acqua Vatos Hotel in pure disaster... I took these photos a couple of weeks ago and today I will go again to take and upload some more... The progress is in a good way and we have already some bathrooms ready for tiles. By the way you will be surprised from the colors and the style of them. Stay tuned and talk to you soon...

The day has come....

Acqua Vatos Hotel finally after 5 years of operation is under a big renovation. We decided to proceed with this change mostly for the convenience of our guests and also to follow the competition of the other Hotels in Kamari Village. We are focusing mostly on the bathrooms which were the only areas of the Hotel we didn't touch on previous renovations we made back in 2006 and 2007. Also we decided to update the common areas, the rooms and the pool area as well. More or less the entire Hotel will look new and fresh for the forthcoming summer of 2011. Through this blog you will be able to check on the progress of the renovation and also see photos of the constructions.  I am sure that the final result of this renovation will be as successful for our Hotel as the first one we made some years ago.
